Hosting provider Fasthosts Internet, which is based in the UK, has just announced that at the Microsoft global hosting summit, they were awarded Microsoft’s Hyper-V Cloud Partner award for 2010. This year’s win comes one year after Fasthosts became a finalist at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2010 in the “Hosting Solutions Partner of the Year” category.
Microsoft’s Hyper-V Cloud Partner award recognizes Fasthosts’ success in launching their new white-label service called Rise. This new service will allow for channel participation in the cloud. Moreover, Microsoft singled out Fasthosts as a partner who was able to achieve the most while delivering their white-label partner hosted service to the reseller and channel communities.
It should also be noted that Fasthosts was the only UK partner recognized at the Microsoft awards ceremony and that the company is well positioned to be the partner of choice to help a business move into the cloud.
Andy Burton, Fasthosts’ CEO, accepted the Microsoft award on behalf of both Fasthosts and Rise and he noted that the availability of their data center on a demand platform for both sets a benchmark within the industry that they will be able to leverage even further.
It should further be noted that the Hyper-V Cloud Partner award win from Microsoft came roughly one week after Fasthosts had launched a whole new range of ADSL broadband packages targeted towards the needs of businesses.
