Go Daddy Backs Danica Patrick’s Indy 500 Dream

GoDaddy - Danica PatrickGo Daddy girl Danica Patrick has put her name an Indy Car sponsorship deal that ties her to the web services provider and the Andretti Autosport team for three years.

Danica originally signed with Go Daddy and the Andretti Autosport team in 2006, and her Indy Car future has been the subject of rumours since the end of the last season.

She appeared in her first Go Daddy Super Bowl commercial in 2007, when she was well known as the first woman to lead during an Indianapolis 500 race.

Since then, Danica has won her first Indy Car race in Japan, and starred as a Go Daddy Girl in the Most Watched Super Bowl commercial of 2009.

“Danica is the quintessential Go Daddy Girl,” said Go Daddy CEO and Founder Bob Parsons. “Danica is a beautiful woman competing in a male-dominated sport. She’s passionate. She’s focused. She’s all about doing what it takes to win and we love that about her. Not to mention she’s edgy, smoking hot and as tough as any competitor anywhere.”

Danica’s 2010 GoDaddy.com car was unveiled in New York’s Times Square. The sleek Indy Car has a bright green and orange livery and emblazoned with the Go Daddy logo.

“Bob Parsons and Go Daddy have believed in me from the start,” Danica said. “You know, my life long goal is to win the Indy 500 and I’d love to do that in the GoDaddy.com car.”

A live TV audience that hit the 5 million mark watched the unveiling ceremony.

Danica’s next job for Go Daddy is starring in the upcoming Superbowl final advert for Go Daddy, which she is filming later this week.

“All of us at Andretti Autosport are looking forward to having Danica back with the team and are excited about working with Bob Parsons and everyone at Go Daddy as the primary sponsor on Danica’s car.” said Andretti.

Go Daddy has also provided the team with a redesigned company web site, at www.andrettiautosport.com.

Texas-based Go Daddy Group is one of the world leading web services provider with more than 37 million domain names under management.
