Go Daddy is splashing out $3 million on a massive festive extravaganza for 4,000 employees and guests.
The line-up for the celebrations is hush-hush, but web services provider Go Daddy has revealed the show will include big name entertainers, including two ‘legendary’ groups and two comedians, plus stacks of food and drink.
The bash is at Chase Field, the home stadium of baseball team the Arizona Diamondbacks.
As a special bonus, Go Daddy is paying for flights and accommodation for 600 out-of-town guests at a top Phoenix hotel.
The party tab eclipses last year’s check by $1 million.
Go Daddy CEO and Founder Bob Parsons has said the budget is in keeping with Go Daddy’s growth.
“Our employees work hard to keep our customers satisfied, so what better way to thank them than to throw an ‘off the hook’ party,” said Parsons. “We work hard at Go Daddy and had an amazing year – we’re going to celebrate it! Remember, we aren’t here for a long time, we’re here for a good time.”
Go Daddy has chalked up growth in 2009 with a 22% revenue hike over last year. Go Daddy also increased sales, customers, employees and real estate this year, with the opening of its European Data Center in the Netherlands.
The company is renowned for giving great employee perks such as cash, mortgages paid for a year and vacations – for which Go Daddy foots the tax bill.
Go Daddy, also gives to charities and has already surpassed the company’s 2008 donation record of $1.7 million. A “charity surprise” donation is set for announcement at the party. The company supports causes, like underprivileged children, domestic violence victims, animal shelters and homeless teenagers.
Go Daddy has hired rather than cut jobs throughout 2009 and employs 2,400 people in Arizona, Iowa, Colorado and Washington DC. For those wanting to jump on the Go Daddy bandwagon, the company is seeking more than 100 new employees for posts in customer support, engineering, development and marketing.
The Go Daddy Group provides web services for 38 million registered domains and is considered the world’s top domain name registrar.
