Resellers Rule Their Own Domains with Heart Internet

Developers and resellers can add generic tags to their customer’s Nominet tag with a new package from Heart Internet.

Heart Internet, one of the UK’s leading web providers, have included the tag ‘eXtend’ to hide the Heart branding on reseller accounts so the intermediary looks as if they are running their own hosting service.

The white label eXtend tag can be accessed from the reseller control panel and allows them to transfer and register domain names under their own brand identity.

“We work constantly to improve the service we offer to resellers,” said Jonathan Brealey, Managing Director of Heart Internet. “With the addition of the new generic tag, we can now offer a bespoke and completely white label service to resellers, which helps to maintain reseller brand integrity.”

Nominet rules have prevented web providers from registering ‘. co.uk’ domains under any brand except their own tag until recently, so reseller clients could clearly see that Heart Internet was the main service provider.

Now, unless the client tracks the eXtend tag to Heart Internet, the tag registrar is anonymous to reseller clients.

Heart Internet offers unlimited web sites, bandwidth; email boxes and storage packages to resellers on Windows and Linux operating systems running on Dell servers and a Cisco network adaptor.

Resellers are allowed to market their own web hosting packages and brand their own white label control panels.

The eXtend service is a control panel exclusive to Heart Internet, developed and designed in-house for the web hosts customers.

“Reseller web hosting enables you to run your own web hosting company.” said a Heart Internet spokesman. “We provide you with the tools and resources to offer the same hosting to your clients as we do to our own.

“When you resell hosting from us, it means that you are the hosting company and you are in full control of the features you offer, the packages you use and the prices that you charge.”
